Administrative Coordinator The George Mason University, Department of Psychology, is seeking a customer service-oriented individual to serve as an Administrative Coordinator. Primary Responsibilities : Answer and direct incoming calls when work-study students are unavailable;Greet and direct the public;Supervise work-study students and coordinate their daily tasks;Manage appointment database for the Undergraduate Advisers;Gather content and update the department social media tools, website, and career blog;Assist with web site management;Update and maintain bulletin boards and announcements for the department;Create all marketing materials for department curriculum;Coauthor alumni newsletter;Responsible for department events; room reservations as well as food, beverage, and university equipment reservations;Process all telecommunication requests, and reconcile telecommunication accounts monthly;Facilitate equipment rentals within the department and keep an updated inventory on all department equipment;Responsible for monitoring and purchasing office and lab supplies, as well as reconciliation of the purchase card account; andManage other department administrative duties as assigned; poster printing appointments, key request/Omnilocks, brownbag updates, records management and mail management.Required Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in a work environment;Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;Motivated self-starter;High level of excellent customer service skills;Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize;Ability to work in a team environment; andAdvanced verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications: Experience on social media platforms and with Web site content management;Experience with power point;Knowledge of travel basics;Experience with event planning; andKnowledge of Mason or Commonwealth of Virginia systems and policies.
