Principal Analyst, Economic and Managerial Capital Team

Capital One is seeking a motivated professional for a Principal Analyst position within the Economic and Managerial Capital Team (EMC). EMC associates serve as capital advisors guiding our strategic choices on capital resilience to our business partners. Our role requires exceptional decision-making, analytical, problem solving, leadership, and communication skills. Our team requires strong partnership and teamwork, so a successful candidate must thrive in a collaborative and analytically dynamic environment.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the preparation and execution of Annual Managerial Capital Budget cycle
  • Leverage technology to drive data, process and analytics automation initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner teams as the managerial capital subject matter expert
  • Assist in evaluating capital impact of new business strategies


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Financial Services Industry


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking with an ability to flex among and balance changing priorities
  • Prior experience working effectively in a collaborative environment
  • At least 1 year of experience in Python and SQL
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Experience working with Tableau, or other data visualization tools
