Primary Purpose

The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the management of marketing operations under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications. The Marketing intern possesses a good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques. They have knowledge and skills focused on graphic design. They are enthusiastic with excellent organization and communication skills.

Plays a key role in the marketing functions of Emmes and social media. The Marketing Intern collaborates with the marketing and business development team in all stages of marketing campaigns and helps develop, expand and maintain marketing channels.

  • Work with Emmes team to create social media and website content
  • Create graphics as needed using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
  • Ensure timely reporting on success of marketing campaign
  • Feed insights and recommendations into future planning
  • Offer administrative support on essential tasks
  • Assist with tradeshow coordination and incoming leads as needed
  • Improve Emmes' corporate presentations and marketing material while ensuring they meet the Emmes brand identity strategy
  • Support the overall planning and implementation of the marketing and communications strategies
  • Manage marketing and communications Sharepoint site

  • Bachelor's degree in progress in Marketing, Communications or in a related field required
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
  • General knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics and tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude with various social media platforms as well as the data tracking tools associated with them
  • Ability to quickly learn and process information
  • Organization and time management skills
