Change Manager, Senior Associate

As a Change Management Leader in Commercial Bank Client Solutions, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for equipping associates with information they need to better serve their clients and tools to complete their jobs efficiently. The Client and Associate readiness team investigates new ways to communicate and engage associates to get them the information they need for their jobs, so they can continue to deliver One Beautiful Experience for our clients.

The team delivers change management practices to a wide variety of change efforts within the Commercial Bank - from organizational shifts to technology deployments and many efforts in between. You will work with subject matter experts to "get smart" on the changes and provide education to internal customers about the changes.

A successful candidate will have proven experience and knowledge of communications principles and methodologies and a strong interest in change management. The candidate should also possess strong influencing and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional communication skills with all levels of the organization.

The individual will be on a small team of change managers, working to develop and deliver flawlessly executed communications and change plans that facilitate adoption within a dynamic agile environment and create a Beautiful Associate and Client experience.

Responsibilities :
  • Contribute new ideas to the team to challenge "the way it's been done before"
  • Be curious about emerging technology and concepts like design thinking, agile project management, engaging marketing strategies
  • Keep track of your own progress with change deliverables in a fast paced environment, and provide relevant updates to internal team and leadership, when required
  • Build competencies as a Change Practitioner and serve as a champion for change across Commercial to help others deliver improvements that increase associate engagement and transfer knowledge
  • Collaborate with Client Solutions Knowledge Team and other appropriate organizations to provide tactics, ideas and reasoning for behavior change, readiness, and associate experience
  • Track channel metrics to monitor adoption and effectiveness, to identify resistance, performance gaps, and to enact action plans
  • Keep websites and documentation accurate and engaging for all audiences


Work at Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use cellular data (hot spot)
  • Cable or fiber connections are preferred
  • Internet service download speeds must be at least 5 mbps, with 10+ mbps preferred - check your download speed using a speed test. A sample one can be found here . To test your home internet from your personal computer at home, type www.speedtest.net into the web browser of your personal computer.
  • Sustained ability to maintain latency less than 250 ms in voice calls is required
  • Hard wired connectivity is preferred, any use of wireless connectivity must be Private (non-public) and password protected through WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. If you have any questions about your encryption, please consult with your internet provider
  • A private network is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network
  • Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate
  • Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice.


Candidates must live within 100 miles driving distance of one of the hub locations based in McLean, VA, Richmond, VA, Melville, NY orPlano, TX.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Communications, Marketing or Change Management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience with organizational change efforts
  • At least 1 year of experience with JIRA or other Agile software solutions.
