Program CoordinatorThe George Mason University, Department of Psychology, invites applications for a full-time Program Coordinator for multiple clinical training consortia within the newly established Center for Evidence-Based Behavioral Health (CEBBH), to begin as early as possible in summer 2022. We have a doctoral program in five areas, including clinical psychology. The clinical psychology program focuses strongly on the intersection of research and practice, and the CEBBH is a direct reflection of that focus. The Center coordinates multiple externally-funded training and research projects focused on the development, refinement, dissemination, and implementation of culturally responsive evidence-based practice in Community Mental Health Centers and psychiatric medical centers in the Northern Virginia region.Responsibilities:This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Center's projects, with the possibility of becoming involved in research support if desired and able. The employee will coordinate and track meetings of the research team and community partnership teams, assist in preparation of reports, assist in developing training materials and preparing those materials for distribution, coordinate several virtual and in-person trainings per year, and assist with program evaluation and research-related tasks (e.g., preparation and administration of surveys, preparation of IRB materials). The employee will also be a primary liaison between researchers, trainers, and community providers. The position reports to the Director of the CEBBH, Christy Esposito-Smythers, PhD.Required Qualifications:Applicants must have the ability to work with Microsoft Office and other software, work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, coordinate schedules and plan events, learn and comply with regulatory processes, and handle basic project budgeting.Preferred Qualifications:A bachelor's degree (or equivalent level of training and experience) in psychology or a related field, demonstrated exposure to or experience in social science research or research in another discipline, and prior experience with budgeting and/or as an administrative assistant.In a continuing effort to enrich GMU's academic environment and provide equal educational and employment opportunities, we actively encourage applications from all job seekers including members of all groups underrepresented in higher education.
