Job Summary

The Washington Post is seeking an Influencer Marketing Specialist to join its Marketing Operations team in the WP Creative Group. This team works closely with Brand Strategy, Creative, Production and Design to bring to life unique and innovative custom advertising programs created on behalf of our brand partners. As Influencer Marketing Specialist, you will manage talent sourcing and relationships for WP Creative Group custom content programs. The Influencer Marketing Specialist will report to the Manager, Social and Emerging Media for the WP Creative Group.

Responsibilities
  • Source influencer talent for WP Creative Group custom content programs
  • Oversee WP Creative Group's curated influencer community, The Collective
  • Use social platforms and listening tools (e.g. DashHudson) to research and vet potential influencer partners
  • Act as a liaison between influencer talent and WP Creative Group teams (e.g. Production, Content, Program Management)
  • Communicate expectations for social sharing with contracted influencer talent
  • Explore partnerships with external agencies, vendors, and other groups that could help expand our influencer marketing capabilities
  • Develop measurement tools and solutions to prove ROI for clients
  • Maintain an internal database and external-facing resources that reflect our influencer marketing efforts and capabilities
  • Educate internal teams and clients on trends and best practices for influencer marketing
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience in community management, influencer marketing, social media, or a related field, with a strong preference for experience in media/publishing industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary, with strong presentation skills a plus
  • Capable of working proactively with multiple departments to achieve results
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel a must
