As the Manager of Infrastructure and Security services, you are responsible for the development, maintenance and evolution of Transurban’s IT systems infrastructure, supporting our North American business. Reporting to the Director of Technology Operations, your role is a key position responsible for supporting the function’s service delivery to the wider business.

The impact you’ll have 

• Provide an environment that allows the business to operate effectively in a low risk, cost-effective manner.
• Management of systems to ensure a high availability of systems.
• Management of resources, both internal and external, to provide appropriate levels of support and administration of systems.
• Minimize unplanned outages.
• Expedient analysis and remediation of systems issues that put business operations at risk.
• Ensure alignment to the Systems Maintenance strategy and identify any issues that may affect the strategy in the longer term.
• Contribute to strategy and planning for the Express Lanes taking into account new technologies, improvements to existing technologies and alternate business models
• Ensure the systems are maintained within the Transurban IT architecture framework or as otherwise agreed within the corporate framework.
• Provision (where applicable) and maintenance of complete, up-to-date architectural models of all system domains, including all hardware, software, networks, etc. and how they inter-relate

The talents you’ll bring 

• IT professional with a broad understanding of a variety of corporate IT roles, including IT operations, infrastructure architecture definition and development, systems development and their relationship to the role objectives through the application of industry best practices
• Proven commercial awareness including planning, finance, management of 3rd party outsource arrangements and human resources activities
• Skilled and experienced as a manager of self and others, plus a demonstrated ability to indirectly influence outcomes through a mix of direct management, governance and coordination forums
• Demonstrable experience as a skilled IT practitioner in establishing and delivering business-aligned IT systems and support services activities within a large corporate IT environment
• Fully up to date with modern IT systems and support services management techniques and practices
• Prior systems engineering, support, project management and change management experience
• Excellent knowledge of IT methodologies and practices
• Experience with the preparation and contribution to integrated IT budgets and annual plans
• A self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to work on multiple tasks/ projects at any one time and achieve critical outcomes on time and to budget, with minimal supervision
