The Analyst, Member Benefit Communications assists in developing compelling, valuable content to attract and engage customers and prospects with the objective of enhancing member engagement and dariving member retention. This position assists with developing and executing campaigns and communications that include publications, advertisements, brochures, social media posts, etc. that inform, educate, and engage defined target audiences; collects and analyzes data on the performance of specific communications or campaigns. In this role, you will collaborate with management to identify opportunities to optimize marketing communications processes and develops new procedures that support the business unit/department.

Responsibilities

  • Supports development of multi-channel marketing strategies to meet objectives including audience and channel identification and planning.
  • Implements multi-channel marketing plans by collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Assists with analysis of marketing performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Content administrator of the Digital Benefits Repository: Supports repository development to meet business needs and manages content in the tool. Coordinates with other business units to ensure the repository meets channel and audience needs and connects across touches/channels. Supports efforts for automation, AI and use of logic to serve benefits/content to our members.
  • Works with agency partners to create marketing collateral for campaigns to meet objectives.
  • Assists with digital and social strategy to achieve objectives.
  • Assists with experience improvement and integrated communication projects related to Membership Lifecyle Management and Member Benefit Communications (MBC) which include testing initiatives across channels, take notes, gather documentation, and assist with test plans.
  • Implements MBC strategy, testing, UX, content and optimizing performance across touches and experiences, including Membership & Benefits Channel. Drives continuous improvement of offline and online benefit experience with best practices, and consumer insights and contributes to the development of test and learn roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing /Communications and/or MBA.
  • Prefer 1+ years of marketing/communications experience in a team-oriented workplace; agency experience and/or expertise in management of external vendors is strongly desired.
  • Experience in integrated, direct response, data-driven marketing programs across multiple channels, with a strong emphasis on digital.
  • Must be a self- starter, excellent initiator and outstanding communicator with solid presentation experience, strong organizational skills and ability to meet high standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Must be knowledgeable of general direct marketing principles.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and have sound business judgment in project prioritization.
  • Strong project and budget management, including the development of timelines, third-party SOWs, budget tracking, etc,.
  • This is an open-space office environment and the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise is required.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
