A s part of a high-performance, fast-moving, and collaborative GTM Operations team, your role as Administrator will aim to strengthen and scale the Salesforce practice at Appian. You'll be key in managing day-to-day operations of our Salesforce application and delivery of critical business process requirements.
  • Play a key role in implementing our Salesforce architecture (Territory hierarchy, Account Hierarchy, Visibility Models)
  • Design, communicate and deploy Salesforce best practices
  • Own and maintain Customer Master Data Management
    • Account creation and maintenance
    • Territory Creation and relationships
    • Account Mapping and Routing Rules
  • Manage users, data, and security
    • Provision user licenses
    • Monitor user adoption
    • Manage Roles, Profiles, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules
    • Import contacts, activities, and other data
    • User and Profile Hierarchy
  • Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, validation rules, process builder, fields, page layouts, record types
  • Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing
  • Identify and gather stakeholder requirements for prioritization focused on sales efficacy and Sales Team efficiency
  • Provide end user support and enablement with cross functional teams
  • Partner with Sales Operations and cross functional teams at Appian to document SFDC processes and areas for improvement.

To be successful in this role, you need:
  • Extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems, specifically Sales Cloud.
  • Experience in performing Salesforce upgrades and ensuring successful integration.
  • Exceptional ability to create and maintain Salesforce databases.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
  • Proficiency in creating Salesforce profiles, allocating roles, and managing access.
  • Knowledge of importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Salesforce administrator in a similar environment.
