As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
  • Manage the successful administration of program/project management framework/ roadmap and disciplines necessary to support the project risk management process as well as compliance with the Project Planning and Management lifecycle methodology (e.g. risk management, issue management and quality management).
  • Lead the detailed coordination with the various Ginnie Mae Program Offices in order to provide timely information on Ginnie Mae's portfolio of projects, and the status for the accomplishment of project/program goals, including meeting with each Senior Vice President, Program/Project Managers, and Contractor PMO's in order to identify specific project management needs and develop and explore alternative solutions to enhancing existing processes.
  • Oversee the portfolio of project plans, milestones, gate reviews, risk monitors and financial reports necessary to effectively manage Ginnie Mae's Portfolio of projects according to a baseline schedule and budget.
  • Advise project teams, both internal and external, on the rules and processes governing the Project Planning Management (PPM) and Business Initiative Decision Structure (BIDS) methodologies.

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience:

    For the GS-14, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    - Developing solutions to resolve program issues or changing requirements; AND
    - Coordinating, supporting, and leading Project Management Office functions (i.e., Portfolio Analysis, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Enterprise Governance etc.); AND
    - Providing technical assistance to program officials or Executives on a variety of Project Management Office related technical matters; AND
    - Leading or managing a team of employees and monitoring their progress towards achieving project goals and objectives.

    Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
