Your Impact: We are looking for a motivated, collaborative Traffic Engineer to join our Mid-Atlantic Advanced Mobility group of about 50 transportation planners, traffic / ITS engineers and operations specialists with a wide variety of talent and experience. As a key member of our team, you'll work on challenging transportation projects to primarily include traffic engineering, safety, urban intersections, interchanges, corridor, and traffic impact studies. Under the direction of a project manager, you will lead traffic engineering tasks and direct the work of less-experienced staff. The primary location of this position is our Baltimore, Maryland office, with some flexibility to work from home. Here's What You'll Need: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field * Previous experience with traffic or roadway engineering * Familiarity with traffic operations practices and policies at local and national levels * Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills * Must be resourceful, curious, and self-directed * Valid driver's license Ideally, here's what you'll also have: * Experience with maintenance of traffic design and requirements, traffic studies, and traffic signal design * Strong technical writing and oral communication skills. * Experience working with departments of transportation clients is a plus * Project and leadership experience Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
