Opportunity.Create.Publishing.ThirdPartyJobBoards.MoreInfoModal.Title OpportunityDetail.CompanyInformation.Locations Location: Thomasville, GA (relocation assistance provided, if needed) Job Summary: The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for the successful development, execution and completion plant/system improvements achieving objectives to include prioritized action lists, schedule task events, and coordination of all affected internal departments. This position is responsible for direction of improving the current approach to Cleaver-Brooks transactional and manufacturing processes. This includes the initial task of submersing oneself into the processes, understanding the business, and making recommendations for improvements based on logic, calculation or generally accepted IE theories. Essential Functions: Plan and establish sequence of operations to process information, fabricate, and assemble products while promoting efficient utilization within MRP II system with Lean techniques. Communicate with management and user personnel to develop a list of detailed improvements and a prioritized implementation plan. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities. Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control. Draft and design process flows, equipment layout, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer. Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs. Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities. Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization. Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards. Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results. Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner. Support peers and management with internal and external projects. Other duties as assigned. Education: An Associates degree or Bachelors degree in an Engineering or other technical discipline is strongly preferred. Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing environment within an industrial manufacturing facility preferred. Physical Skill and Effort: Mostly an office environment, but a daily interaction with the manufacturing floor coordinating events and improvements. Occasional work requiring infrequent physical effort. Working Conditions and Hazards: Normal plant, shop, field or office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure.
