Our first Core Value is People First and we live it every day.The Junior Accountant will be an integral part of the Accounting team by supporting the Financial Controller with the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and overview of the AR, AP, and inventory control processes. The successful candidate must be very organized, dependable, reliable, and able to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.Pay Range: $40,000 - $55,000ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for monthly closing entries and working with Financial Controller to close the books timely.This includes:Preparing standard journal entries monthlyPreparing and maintaining balance sheet schedulesInteract with internal staff to resolve issues or identify potential adjustments, accruals, and general ledger varianceexplanations.Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers and work with staff as needed to ensure timelyAP payments and AR collections.Work with internal Operations staff to review Inventory sub-ledger and recognize any problem areas as needed.Ensuring all invoicing, payments, inventory adjustments/transfers, and bills are entered into Intacct by end of monthcut-off.Consolidate schedules at month end to include in the month reporting package.Analyze and maintain inventory reporting, processes, and procedures.Provide various departments with inventory control procedures.Oversight of inventory balances and transactions.Physical inventory period counts.Cost control for office related purchases, and approval of vendor administrative bills.Fleet Management of company vehicles. Including regular maintenance and repair tracking, emissions, and tracking of techs in each vehicle.Credit card reconciliation and Employee Expenses.Bank reconciliations.Provide customer service to internal staff and customers for accounting related questions.Work directly with the Financial Controller on any ad hoc projects as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degree in Accounting, or related field or equivalent.6 months - 1 year of experience in accounting or related field.Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities at once.Experience with inventory control procedures a plus.Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups)Experience with Intacct (or other web-based accounting program) a plus, but not required.BENEFITS:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insurance401(k) with matchPaid time offHolidaysAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other reason prohibited by applicable law.
