Position Summary:The ITProduct Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product they are assigned to manage. This will include attention in the following pillars of product ownership: Vision & Strategy, Talent and Organization, Users & Outcomes, and Delivery. It is a role that can be obsessed with the quality, resiliency, and the value a product provides to the enterprise and ultimately the customer/end user.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant experience3-5 years as a Business Analyst Product Owner ManagerAbility to be flexible, Ability to be a self-starter, ability to be detail oriented, ability to make an impactUse of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.Vision and Strategy: Establishing Product VisionDefine the Product mission and value propositionCommunicates with stakeholders to understand business objectivesCreates and maintains a product roadmap based on customer feedback and evolving prioritiesKeeps product aligned with business goalsTranslate the product vision into metric based objectives and resultsPrioritizing NeedsConsiders the needs and objectives of stakeholdersManages scope, budget, and time to prioritize initiativesManaging the Product BacklogCreates and maintains a list of backlog itemsPrioritizes items based on overall strategyMaps out dependencies within backlog itemsSecures resource commitments to execute upon backlog items from the application vendor, resource managers, or the PMO.Talent & Organization, Users & Outcomes: Anticipating Client NeedsDevelop a deep understanding of the productPerforms appropriate configuration and administration of the product for sensible and swift assistanceUnderstands and anticipates clients needs to ensure the quality, resiliency, and value of the product.Acting as primary LiaisonGains Buy-in/Adoption from stakeholders and UsersResponsible for training of the product, leading demos, preparing training, making training accessible.First Line of Support for end users of the product to resolve their issues or dispatch their problems into the appropriate workstreamResponsible for communication product updates to impacted parties and stakeholders including but not limited to: new enhancements, new functionality, planned outages, and other updates as they occur.Delivery:Overseeing Development StagesContribute to the planning, execution, and review of each deploymentWorks with team to refine and improve the development processResponsible for the delivery of the outcome of these development activitiesEvaluating Product ProgressIs Accountable for each stage of the development process and deploymentInspects and adapts product progress through each iterationDetermines whether each completed backlog item is acceptable.
