This role will suit an ambitious and experienced Finance Director, with an sharp commercial eye. You will be leading a team of 10, within an ever-growing business of over 1000 staff and will be responsible for the oversight of the growth and strategic direction of the business. The Role: * Be an active and effective member of the management team by contributing to the establishment, delivery and achievement of the group's growth strategy and objectives. * Support the identification of business development and growth opportunities for the group. * Manage the acquisitions process and liaise with relevant external parties such as legal counsel, banks etc as appropriate. * Assist in the development of the financial skills of the Management team. * Participate fully in Leadership meetings, expressing own views convincingly and supporting and challenging fellow colleagues appropriately. * Manage and lead the Finance/Accounts team to ensure that they are highly engaged and have the skill-sets, resources and support needed to deliver in their role and achieve their objectives. * Ensure Financial Systems are as effective as possible to deliver the required information to the business. * Engage with other teams to ensure shared responsibility and accountability for controls where relevant. * Manage the testing of specific controls and implement any required actions. * Lead / support on projects as required. The Candidate: * 6-8 years post qualification experience in a senior Financial and Leadership role. * Proven experience as an effective Board or Senior Management team member. * Experience of dealing with external institutions - banks, auditors, legal etc. * Production of high-level business reports for distribution to both internal and external audiences. * Experience in the strategic business planning process * Highly data rational with excellent technical and analytical skills. * Excellent flexibility and adaptability within management style. * Strong commercial acumen, be results focused, solutions oriented and a pragmatic problem solver. * Comfortable working in a fast moving, dynamic, customer-oriented environment with a strong operational focus. * Professional Accountancy Qualification - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
