Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Financial Service Team Lead who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Team Lead, Patient Financial Service you will:
• Responsible for the daily reimbursement activities for claims submitted to the third party payers.
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of coding and billing requirements including ICD10, UB04, HCPCS and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology).
• Strong Leadership and Management Skills
• Possess Interpersonal, Organizational and Analytical Skills
• Knowledge of State and Federal Compliance Laws and Guidelines.
• Audits accounts to ensure that denials and insurance follow-up with payers were worked properly according to department policy.
• Ensures that accounts are routed to proper departments based on root causes and payer claim status.
• Contact payer when necessary to trouble shoot inappropriate payer responses.
• Complete assigned work projects distributed by management in a timely manner.
• Provides monthly productivity review.
• Provide support, education, and guidance to Team.
• Ensures resolutions on credits based on knowledge of payer contracts and understanding of the specific requirements for each payer.
• Timely and accurate completion, review and submission of the Medicare and Medicaid quarterly credit balance report required by law.
• Training team on various systems needed to obtain documentation in processing refunds and other customer related account review.
• Provide Team Management with issues regarding claims follow-up process.
• Payer response reports and rejection reports are worked timely and meet Departmental Productivity and Quality Review standards.

Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma required or some college preferred.
• 3-4 years' experience required within a healthcare environment can include insurer, public health setting or an outsourcing company.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must maintain a high volume of processing without compromising quality and accuracy.
• Strong Customer Service skills.
• Ability to participate in an environment that promotes staff development, productivity, satisfaction and efficiency.

Work Schedule:

Full Time Days

Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm or 8:30-5pm
