Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Systems Administration, Associate to support a Federal Government client. The candidate will support the client's budget office as a system administrator, ensuring the front-end budget application meets office needs, monitoring the database jobs and procedures, and supporting fixes where necessary. This role can be executed remotely.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the operation of the system on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Conduct period roll-forwards of budget execution actuals, obtained from the financial system.
  • Monitor the creation of planning records as needed.
  • Create and retain budget “snapshots" as needed to support budget processes.
  • Add, update, and delete user security accounts and profiles.
  • Coordinate with client staff to implement enhancements as requested.
  • Update data to address organizational, funding, or budget changes.
  • Assist the budget office with new and modified templates and reports within the web application.
  • Analyze and coordinate with the system administrator on fixes to stored procedures, application front-end, or architecture.
  • Monitor the database jobs and procedures, addressing issues or failures as they arise.
  • Monitor the data inputs and outputs for quality and performance.
  • Review system outputs to ensure they are accurate, timely, and consistent with policy.
  • Respond to queries from users and customers regarding application functionality and reporting.
  • Review LCBS processes, procedures, and workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, streamlining, and automation.
  • Provide recommendations on improvements and automations, particularly to position the client for modernization.
  • Work with client staff to implement improvements and monitor results.

Required Qualifications
  • Expertise with databases and applications running on Windows Server 2016
  • Experience with direct management of SQL Server 2016, including writing queries and conducting imports and exports
  • Experience managing tables, stored procedures, and functions within SQL Server 2016
  • Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services 2016 to manage OLAP cubes
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services to manage SSIS packages
  • Overall five years of relevant technical experience
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Certent C7, formerly known as IBM Clarity 7.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field.
