Manager, Process Management for Customer Protection

As a Manager of Process Management for Customer Protection, you will lead a team of process managers in delivering flawlessly executed processes that improve business efficiency and help our customers. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in process improvement. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.

General Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of processes and leading a team of process managers
  • Collecting data and using analytics and reporting to provide transparency to senior leadership into well managed health
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements driving improvements in effectiveness & efficiency
  • Partnering across horizontal teams to perform root causes analysis to diagnose issues and resolve process breakdowns
  • Developing and teaching others formal process documentation utilizing Business Process Management artifacts
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on several processes to effectively partner with customers to achieve desired outcome for projects and initiatives
  • Using Six Sigma methodology to identify opportunities within the existing processes and influencing leadership to implement

Work at Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use cellular data (hot spot)
  • Cable or fiber connections are preferred
  • Internet service download speeds must be at least 5 mbps, with 10+ mbps preferred - check your download speed using a speed test. A sample one can be found here. To test your home internet from your personal computer at home, type www.speedtest.net into the web browser of your personal computer.
  • Sustained ability to maintain latency less than 250 ms in voice calls is required
  • Hard wired connectivity is preferred, any use of wireless connectivity must be Private (non-public) and password protected through WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. If you have any questions about your encryption, please consult with your internet provider
  • A private network is password protected where you have ownership or line of site to every device on the network
  • Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate
  • Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice.


Candidates must live within 100 miles driving distance of one of the HUB locations based in Richmond, VA, Wilmington, DE, or St. Cloud, MN to be considered.Candidates in Virginia living north of Fredericksburg will not be considered.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in People management
  • At least 5 years of experience in Process Management
  • Business Process Management Certification



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean certification or Six Sigma certification
  • 5+ years of experience in People management
  • 7+ years of experience in Process management
