Director - Data Management Risk
As Capital One continues to mature its Business Intelligence and Analytical capabilities, we are seeking a dynamic, high-performing Director, Data Management Risk. This position will have a significant impact on the organization, so we are seeking someone who can take charge, think big, and deliver on their commitments.
What you'll do:
This position will lead a team to perform tests and analyses related to data governance including data registration, critical data element governance, data quality, data protection, datalineage, data retention, 3rd party data sharing etc. Familiarity with credit card, auto loan, commercial loan, or deposit data is a plus. General understanding of technology infrastructure and AWS is a plus. Strong communication skills and problem solving skills are desired.
Key accountabilities:
This position will be in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where you will be handling multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams. An ideal candidate will possess strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities in addition to communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Key accountabilities:
- Lead a team to perform tests on data governance and the related controls across Capital One.
- Interact with multiple teams within Capital One to raise challenges and push for further maturity of data management such as data registration, critical data element governance, data quality, data protection, data lineage, data retention, 3rd party data sharing etc.
- Build a continuous monitoring process and tools to track the data management risk across Capital One.
- Track the overall data transformation initiative and provide feedback or suggestions from a risk management perspective.
- Design and provide ongoing training for other teams to perform data related tests
- Analyze both internal data issues and external data issues from the regulators and verify data issue closure

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years of Professional Data Analysis experience
- At least 3 years of People Management experience
- At least 2 years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 10+ years of Professional Data Analysis experience
- 5+ years of People Management experience
- 3+ years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience
- 5+ years of Data Governance experience
