Alertus is experiencing unprecedented growth in all markets, and we're looking for an exceptional HR Manager to expand personnel growth and develop our teams to meet the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.Job DescriptionThe Human Resources Manager will work onsite in our Baltimore, MD headquarters as a member of the Human Resources team. The person in this role will be responsible for working directly with the Director of Human Resources & Talent Management. The objective of this position will be to oversee the daily operations of the HR department. This role is a great opportunity for someone interested in managing an HR department and the entirety of its functions, as well as working directly with senior-level staff.A Day in the Life:Oversee day-to-day operations of the HR departmentDevelop and implement HR processes for better employee engagement and retentionPlan, develop, and implement new HR policiesOversee existing policies in the areas of training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract and retain employeesEffectively communicate and interpret HR policies and proceduresWork closely with hiring directors and other senior leaders to construct and implement a talent strategy and other personnel-related decisionsStay up-to-date on local, state, and federal employment laws to remain compliantCreate and submit annual personnel reporting such as EEO-1 reports, AAP reporting, benefits consensus, etc.Oversee the recording and maintenance of employee information pertaining to personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, performance reviews, etc.Collaborate with senior leaders to drive employee engagement and training strategiesPrepare documentation and handle unemployment claims, filings, and appealsPerform or assist in HR-related auditsHelp supervise other areas in the HR departmentPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills:Experience working as an HR Manager in a small to midsize company preferredDesired Skills:Experience with HRIS & ATS systems, preferably BambooHR Experience with G Suite for businessStrong organizational skills and ability to multitaskAbility to drive projects to completion in challenging circumstancesAbility to facilitate discussion, identify, and implement alternatives or different approachesAbility to collaborate with other departmentsStrong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to work under minimal directionFlexibilityEducation and Experience:BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferredMinimum 3-5 years of experience as an HR Manager in a small, fast-growing companyAlertus Career Advantages:Competitive SalaryBusiness Casual EnvironmentGenerous Vacation PlanPart of a Fast-Paced and Growing Company SettingRewarding Experience Improving the Lives and Safety of OthersRegular Company Social and Team-building EventsCircle of Excellence Rewards TripAlertus Technologies is subject to the Federal Contractor and Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) requirements of the Federal Mandate for COVID-19 Vaccination.
