Job Description

Summary:

The Washington Post is seeking a Production Coordinator to join it's Marketing Operations team in the WP Creative Group. This team includes Brand Strategy, Creative, Ad Operations, Production and Design teams, as well as external vendors to bring to life unique and innovative custom and native advertising programs. As a Production Coordinator, you will focus on managing the internal project management needs that support all teams in their day to day to ensure we produce successful custom advertising campaigns. A passion for timelines and using various project management tools/digital experiences a must. This role will report to the Manager, Program Management under the WP Creative Group.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as a dedicated production coordinator per campaign, strategically coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors to execute custom advertising programs
  • Manages internal project timelines in Asana throughout the campaign to adhere to program goals
  • Schedules internal project meetings as needed
  • Supports internal creative workflow and communications with Creative Group Program Managers, editorial, design, development, video/audio production teams and third-party vendors to achieve the highest quality creative deliverables aligned to best practices
  • Drafts vendor contracts and manages the new vendor onboarding process
  • Supports QA processes
  • Maintain WP Creative Group department resources (including Dropbox and Notion) related to project workflow, processes, and more.
  • Other duties as needed


Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience project managing/producing native advertising content and/or brand campaigns on behalf of blue-chip clients
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as Asana, Jira, etc.
  • Understanding of digital media and advertising industries (agency and/or publisher experience a plus)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in busy environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary, with strong presentation skills a plus
  • Capable of working proactively with multiple departments to achieve results
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel a must
