Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Telecom Technician II who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Telecom Technician II you will:

• Operational Support: Perform service operational tasks including but not limited to fulfilling support requests, resolving incidents, providing access, evaluating events, and managing problems.
• Responsible for day to day adds, moves, changes, and user troubleshooting. • • Resolving issues with the Avaya systems on site.
• Support of hardware systems, including circuits/trunks, telephones and peripheral devices.
• Perform necessary routine recurring tasks associated with the daily maintenance and support of the infrastructure platform.
• Provide enterprise telecommunications platform support in the timely resolution of technology incidents while adhering to SLA prioritization and success measures - including 24x7 on call support.
• Work with end users and other support staff to install, troubleshoot, and maintain the telecommunications platform.
• Installing, replacing, and moving analog, digital, and VoIP telecommunications devices.
• Cross connecting the phone system ports with either 66 or 110 blocks to endpoint locations. Tracing and troubleshooting wiring. Maintaining records according to SOP.
• Communicating daily with the Telecommunication Engineer III on projects and tasks.
• Implementation and Transition: Follow PMBOK best practices in the implementation and transition of enterprise telecommunications implementations.
• Participate in the creation of detailed work breakdown structures for the implementation of telecommunications upgrades and implementations. Support PMBOK best practices in tasks execution and system implementations.
• Facilitate conversations across AHC employees and vendors and other support teams while implementing or upgrading enterprise telecommunications platforms.
• Follow change and release management processes.
Planning and Design: Follow PMBOK and ITIL principles in the planning and design of enterprise telecommunications platform implementations.
• Assist with requirements data gathering and analysis as needed.
• Assist with the development of technical reference architectures that illustrate the entire topology of a system or service including communication requirements and system dependencies.
• Review infrastructure platform and application changes for the environment and provide input on the technical impact of the changes.
• Participate in efforts to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Strategy: Provide expertise to identify and translate business workflow into infrastructure platform and application configuration requirements.

• High school diploma. College Associate Degree or Technical School equivalent
• 5+ years in depth experience with supporting Avaya Communication Manager
• 5+ years of telephone and data wiring experience including cable assembly, wire and telco block terminations, cross-connects, toning and tracing
• 5+ years of telecommunications experience in installations and maintenance
• 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred
• Customer Service orientated individual with strong oral and written communication skills who is exceptionally self-motivated and directed with a desire to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Mission driven individual with strong values that align with the AHC mission
• Ability to work in a fast-paced critical patient care driven organization
