Overview The HR Business Partner is a significant role in people management and assisting with strategic development and daily operations of the HR function. Responsibilities Administer HRIS system (ADP) with setup and changes for benefits, performance reviews, training, and other projects. Compliance reporting (AAP, EEOC, VETs, FSA compliance testing). Support benefits administration, as needed (QLE, enrollments, invoicing, inquiries, etc.) Administer employee leave program.Ability to handle HR situations and information with discretion and confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field or equivalent experience and 8 years of relevant experience. Solid understanding and wide application of technical HR principles, theories and concepts, as well as HR best practices. Comprehension of US employment law, federal and state laws, and government contracting compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels within the organization. Must demonstrate strong initiative with minimal supervision and exercise strong prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met. High work ethic, high ethical standards and strong commitment to customer service.PHR or SHRM certification Preferred Experience/Qualifications ADP experience a plus. Experience within the government contracting industry highly preferred. Special Requirements/Security Clearance Ability to travel to conduct site visits at various locations (up to 10%). By Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.
