Our client is a technology company, privately held, pre-IPO that is growing rapidly. They are in Clarksburg, Maryland and seeking an experienced Project Financial Analyst. Citizenship Requirements: Due to the type of information accessible in this position, all applicants must be US citizens and nationals, lawful permanent and temporary US residents, and lawful asylees and refugees. Position Responsibilities: The Project Financial Analyst will be responsible for Cost management for assigned projects with tracking of actual expenditures and incurred costs Develop financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements Assist Program Managers with quarterly or monthly EAC (Estimate at completion) and perform variance analysis Create, organize, and maintain project charge codes and provide administrative support to ensure employees have access to charge codes for projects they are assigned Prepare various financial reports for division directors and executive team on a monthly basis Coordinate with accounting team to provide billing support and review AR for payment status Assist in the investigations and resolution of AR invoice issues Review funding status for projects assigned and Issue LOF (limitation of funding) notice to clients Support month-end close process such as submitting accruals, reviewing posted expenses and submitting an updated EAC for FFP projects for correct revenue recognition Perform risk assessments and risk analyses regarding cost, schedule and performance of assigned programs Required Skills & Abilities: Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint) Proficient with Deltek Costpoint or other cloud-based ERP systems Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Management, Finance, Accounting Experience formulating budgets and performing variance analysis Experience with various contract types; CPFF, CPAF, T&M, FFP etc. Experience in project finance management for government contracts or commercial projects Experience in data, operational, and financial analysis Experience briefing executive leadership on program cost positions, impact of budget changes on supported programs, and other cost issues Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Management, Finance, Accounting Experience formulating budgets and performing variance analysis Experience with various contract types; CPFF, CPAF, T&M, FFP etc. Experience in project finance management for government contracts or commercial projects Experience in data, operational, and financial analysis Experience briefing executive leadership on program cost positions, impact of budget changes on supported programs, and other cost issues Tele-work Opportunities: Hybrid (3 day/week in the office) after 2 months Our client offers a highly attractive benefit package, free underground parking, and a nice collaborative work environment.
