The Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre was awarded the AAA 4 Diamond Award in its first year of operation joining the ranks of below elite Baltimore 4 D hotels and one of only ten 4 D hotels in Maryland!DUTIES & FUNCTIONSEssential:Management of social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin and Pinterest.Create, promote special promotions to target audiences and share postings to target pagesDaily/weekly photography of hotel events, weekly restaurant specials and promotions for social media.Assist with creation of advertising materials (print ads, on-line ads, brochures)Email marking - creation, delivery, and enhancementAll materials produced are to follow brand guidelinesAssist in management of PR and Social media management - outsourcedBasic understanding of SEO and Google AnalyticsUnderstanding of Open Table and Micros SystemsExcellent proofing and editing abilitiesAssist with marketing events and promotion planning and implementation for hotel and restaurantGreets restaurant Guests/VIP/Group guests on the phone, establishes rapport, and provides excellent service by answering questions, resolving disputes, and adhering to guest requests for the restaurantSales, Marketing and detailing Private Dining Room events.Assists restaurant VIP and small group guests with booking, reservation inquiries and servicing private dining room events.Assist with management of hostess desk and restaurant reservations management/policiesBe a brand ambassador, consistently exposing future guests to our restaurant and building relationships with potential guests.Responsible for selling, negotiating, and finalizing pricing for event that is within the agreed upon guidelines.Performs outside and marketing sales calls to sell and prospect repeat and new group catering/sales business as directed by the Director of Sales.Collaborates with the operations team to ensure highest level of service to our special events partiesGenerates new restaurant businessAssists in other projects and handles job tasks as deemed appropriateKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Customer Service Orientation: The ability to provide excellent service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction.
