Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer to support our business in Chantilly, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs. We are hiring an Electrical Engineer with a focus in power subfield (generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power). Candidate must be familiar with design and implementation of complex industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical systems. To perform this role effectively, you must have extensive experience as an Electrical Engineer. Position Responsibilities: * Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes * Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment * Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects * Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, and technical drawings * Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by coordinating installation, construction, maintenance, documentation, support/testing activities * Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies * Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials * Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation * Maintaining electrical equipment * Working with a variety of technicians This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Pre-Start is required. Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): - Experience using SKM software - Minimum 7 years experience as a Facilities Electrical Engineer Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Active Top Secret/SCI US Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph - Electrical Engineering degree - Professional Engineer license in the state of Virginia - Experience working with US Government customer Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
