Communications Coordinator - Facilities DepartmentGeorge Mason Facilities is growing its Communications and Marketing team and invites applications for the Communications Coordinator position. This is an exciting opportunity to help create best-in-class collateral from start to finish. This includes social media posts, website design, and email marketing. If you're interested in telling stories through infographics, articles, and a growing social media presence, we want to hire you!We want a talented, motivated, growth-minded, individual who will coordinate strategic communications projects throughout Facilities. You have made a noticeable contribution to the facilities department strategic messaging for Virginia's largest public research university. You'll be busy, but don't worry. In December, you'll have two weeks off for a paid holiday. Yes, this is in addition to the other GMU holidays, great benefits, and retirement plan. Please note - the two weeks winter break employees often receive during the holiday season is not regularly guaranteed and is subject to annual approval. We know, it's a great gig. Maintain a positive and constructive demeanor treating all staff, students, faculty, and vendors with professionalism, courtesy and respect.Demonstrated organizational and operational skills to oversee and complete multiple complex projects working in parallel;Demonstrated time management and organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize work and meet deadlines; andAbility to prepare and interpret surveys, reports, and related metrics.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to read and speak Spanish - definite advantage!;Experience with Canva, Wordpress, Adobe Creative Suite;Proficient writing skills;Demonstrated relevant professional experience (generally 3+ years preferred);Experience implementing and developing new systems, programs and executing strategies;Experience coordinating and administering surveys; andExperience analyzing data and assisting to create a story to showcase the data in a digestible way.
