TITLE: Employee Relations Specialist A' A' LOCATION:A' Ashburn, VA What You'll Get to Do!! A' Develops and conducts activities related to employee and labor relations.A' The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for investigating employee relations in a manner that is effective, empathetic, neutral, fair.A' Investigates employee concerns and issues, allegations, grievances, and violations of code of conduct; develops and monitors company's equal employment opportunity activities; assists in the development of the Company's Affirmative Action Plan and participates in audits, investigations by the EEOC and the OFCCP as well as assisting in preparing responses to EEOC charges and/or litigation.A' May also interface and counsel managers, supervisors, and employees regarding company policies, procedures and practices.A' Key Responsibilities A' Provide complainants with a timely resolution that is fair, neutral and demonstrates the employee's concern was seriously considered and employee feels valued, heard and respected. Will coordinate and present resolution meeting with the complainant.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations and firm understanding of the application of these laws and regulation to the workplaceConduct interviews and investigations and consult with the Human Resource Business Partner to drive employee complaints to closure in timely manner while applying fairness and consistency.Mitigate risk, while maintaining proper documentation and timely follow-up.Excellent skills in employee development and employee relations.Experience with performance management, coaching and employee development.General knowledge of overall areas of human resources, including payroll, benefits, and recurringDevelop and foster productive relationships with the HR and Operations teams at all levels and will act as an advisor and compliance trainer for the district.Identify training needs, areas of opportunity, recommend and help coordinate training to minimize legal exposure and ensure all employees have the knowledge to prevent/mitigate legal conflicts at the field.Analyzes and evaluates supporting evidence, statements, and supportive evidence to prepare investigation reports and present resolution recommendation and disciplinary corrective actions to the HRBP for approval.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3-5 years of employee and/or labor relations experience.Broad knowledge of the principals and practices of employment and labor relation laws, regulations. Including knowledge in CA and federal employment law, ALRA, Union Environment, DOL, FMLA/CFRA Mandated Leaves, ADA/FEHA, and Wage Order 14.Must possess strong interpersonal, oral, written communication and analytical skills.Ability to interface with all levels of personnel throughout the company.Knowledge of MS Office and proficiency with Microsoft products.Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and problem resolution skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.Desired HR Generalist background with Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR).We Offer Paid training, fun, talented and driven teammatesKnowledgeable, encouraging and present leadershipA diverse and community-minded organizationCareer growth and learning opportunities for aspiring mindsThe KACE Company, LLC is a federal contractor.
