With corporate offices headquartered in Santa Barbara, this position offers a fully remote work options, and will be heavily involved in managing the tax function including: investment partnership flow through, individual, trust, corporate, foundation, and estate planning returns.POSITION DESCRIPTION The Tax Manager/Tax Accountant will report to the Director of Operations & Accounting, and will have responsibilities covering a broad spectrum of tax, investment and accounting functions.Responsibilities:Prepare/review information required for the preparation of 100+ annual income tax returns for partnerships, corporations, individuals, trusts, foundation, pensions, and IRA'sReview final tax returns prepared by outside accounting firms & review with clientsPrepare quarterly tax projections for corporations, individuals and trustsAssist with capital contributions and distributions for investment partnershipsOversee 250+ trust, brokerage & checking accountsForeign tax filingsQualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) analysis and trackingCarried interest calculations on investment partnershipsConstruction project accountingPartnership accountingSpecial projects (cash flow, estate & financial planning, Roth IRA & Pension Plan analysis, etc)Education and Skills Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related area with emphasis in AccountingMaster's degree or CPA5-10 years related experienceGood understanding of accounting principlesDetail-oriented with strong analytical skillsStrong communication skills, service-oriented and responsiveSoftware experience helpful but not required: SS&C's Total Return, BNASoftware experience required: Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Excel
