The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a well-qualified Executive Administrative Assistant to join the Office of the Dean. One of 13 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Smith School is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. The school is consistently ranked among the world’s top business schools by leading business publications such as Business Week, Financial Times, Economist and the Wall Street Journal.

Supports the Office of the Dean in a myriad of functions and activities. Provides a high level of support to the Chief of Staff.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED AND Six years secretarial experience, one year of which was providing primary secretarial support to a key administrator. Working knowledge of reference and research methods and techniques used in collecting, compiling, and organizing data and information, working knowledge of analytical and statistical principles and techniques. Skill in the use of office automation software and its applications, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, to handle sensitive materials with discretion and tact, to present ideas and information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; to perform mathematical computations; to present statistical material in chart and graph form. Ability to independently handle multiple tasks and set priorities.

Preferences: Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro; Professional demeanor and prompt follow up; Ability to collaborate with others effectively; Excellent communication skills; Ability to adapt quickly to accommodate changing priorities.

Salary: $43,293 to $51,952 based on experience and qualifications) with health insurance available through direct pay.
