Program Manager Full Time Management Washington, DC, US 6 days ago Requisition ID: 1252 Title: Program Manager Status: Full-time, Exempt Reports to: Chief of Programs Schedule: Flexible Schedule; Occasional Weekends and Late Evenings as required Position Description: Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of youth and families in the Washington DC area. The agency includes 19 programs ranging from shelter for homeless youth to service-enriched transitional housing to street outreach, as well as a variety of counseling interventions using a competency-based youth development approach. Under the direction of the Chief of Programs, the Drop In Center Program Manager will oversee Sasha Bruce's newest Drop In Center in PG County. The PG County Drop In Center will be open to any young person 18 through 24 who needs safe respite from the streets and stabilization. Services will include meals, showers, laundry facilities and a safe place to rest for a few hours. Young people will then complete comprehensive service plans and get connected to shelter and longer-term housing options with family reunification and self-sufficiency at the forefront. Other programming will include crisis intervention, conflict resolution, recreational activities, school re-engagement, health education, and more! Minimum Qualifications and Skills: A minimum of a Masters Degree in Social Work with a license strongly preferred. 2-4 years of experience managing drop-in center, shelter, outreach or transitional housing programs for low-income youth. A strong understanding of harm reduction philosophy, trauma-informed provision of services and positive youth development strategies is also required. Strong knowledge of community resources. Flexibility and bilingual skills are a plus. Experience working with LGBTQ youth is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to complete an FBI background check, police clearances, child protection clearances and driving clearance. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all recruitment, hiring and operational preparation activities for the Drop In Center; Cultivate and enhance partnerships, plan, execute and promote planned services and workshops; Initiate recruitment and outreach efforts for enrollment of participants; Establish direct service admission and service policies and protocols; Assist in the development and maintenance of administrative systems to facilitate and enhance the delivery of services. Oversee intake processes, entry into required client databases and necessary documentation; ensure that case files are kept up to date and regularly checked for quality; Create Client Commitments for clients to observe in the space that have trauma-informed consequences Provide daily oversight for all aspects of the Center with a Harm Reduction Model approach; Manage program according to grant/contract specifications; Provide clinical supervision to staff; Ensure that the highest quality crises intervention, life skills, education, counseling, case management and housing services are provided to all participants; Participate actively in Inter-Agency Council on Homelessness meetings and other service coordination, policy and best practice meetings as a representative of SBY; Oversee staff and volunteer evaluation and the program's continuous quality Participate in Managers Meetings and other agency-wide meetings/functions as assigned;
