Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.

Job Summary:
Westat is seeking a communications coordinator who will support and promote digital engagement for several large and small scale projects. 
 
Job Responsibilities:
•    Content creation and management, social media marketing, community relations, communications and marketing strategy, and analytics.
•    Manage and promote participation in a wide variety of communications and social media activities, including but not limited to email marketing, webinar management, twitter and other social media channels.
•    Website content management for Drupal website.
•    Creative Coordination with graphic designers, videographers, web developers for product development.
•    Technical support for online communications efforts such and video and audio editing, WebEx, Zoom, and other web conferencing services.
•    Conference support using conference apps and on-line tools for in-person convenings. 
•    Graphic design and production support using Adobe Creative Suite.

Basic Qualifications:
•    A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, media studies, or related field. 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience and knowledge with multimedia technology, communication strategy and managing social media platforms. 
•    Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, YouTube and other video platforms is essential. 
•    Familiarity with Drupal and WordPress. 

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, work collaboratively in teams, be a self-starter, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and be detail oriented.
