Provide software architecture support assisting the Government in sustaining the AEGIS Weapon System (AWS)-based architecture as it evolves to ensure compatibility with the Government's U.S. Navy Software Factory which provides a Government furnished virtual and physical ecosystem to foster Agile software development using DEVSECOPS tools and principles.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for assisting the Government in sustaining the AWS-based architecture as it evolves to ensure compatibility with the Government's Future Integrated Combat System.
Communicate with designated Government representative on all software architecture matters.
Clarify the flow-down specifications and guidance from the Architecture Senate to Government's Forge (software factory) Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team.
Support system engineering interchange meetings (SEIMs) between the Government, other contractors, and end users.
Participate in the Architecture working group.
Participate in weekly VTC/Telecon with the Government, Forge, and other stakeholders scheduled and held by the Government Lead Software Architect.
Provide support for developing, documenting, and refining the AWS-based and AEGIS Combat System (ACS)-based software using processes such as APIs, service mesh, service-oriented architecture, data-oriented architecture, and microservices.
Assist the Government in developing the processes/procedures required to sustain an evolving software architecture.
Support the flow down of specifications and guidance to the Contractor's MBSE team and others as directed.
Identify AWS-based and ACS-based issues and concerns for review by the Architecture Team.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree plus 15 years of experience.
DoD TOP SECRET Security Clearance, eligible for TS/SCI.
At least 15 years of Combat System experience.
At least 7 years of Software Architecture experience.
At least 10 years of Systems engineering experience.
At least 5 years of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
At least 10 years of Software integration experience.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
