The Fundraising Data System Analyst is a dual employee who will aid in supporting the department's multichannel fundraising processes associated with the organization's fundraising databases and charitable affiliates. They will assist in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our constituent data, work closely with the Integration and Implementation Systems Manager and consult with team's internal collaboration band. Day to day activities include data monitoring, data quality improvements, database administration, system reporting and internal client management. The analyst will extract and transmit critical files on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis that synchronize records across multiple databases. They will conduct weekly data hygiene tasks monitoring data for quality, errors and corrections and tag and update donor records daily with contacts, interest code/affiliations, donations, preferences. This ideal candidate is a technical expert and effective communicator who will work closely with a cross functional team (comprised of multiple business units) aiding with the administration of our donor databases. Primary constituent solutions include Nonprofit Success Package/Salesforce, Clearview (Major Gifts CRM) and eTapestry.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a key role in the process of identification, cultivation, solicitation and/or stewardship of the donors and prospective donors assigned within their respective donor/prospect pool or fundraising channel.
  • Performs functions and processes that support the fundraising process (e.g., identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, systems/processing, stewardship) within their respective donor/prospect pool or function.
  • Utilizes appropriate resources and processes to help ensure personal and departmental success in meeting departmental and personal objectives and goals.
  • Performs processes and functions that support fundraising goals and expectations as defined.
  • Is familiar with and performs duties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and board policies (e.g. gift acceptance) pertaining to gifts, contributions, grants and other charitable support raised.
  • Adheres to ethical standards established by Association of Fundraising Professionals and National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience with fundraising CRM technology solutions and knowledge of querying tools and/or statistical software.
  • Ability to create pivot tables and macros within MS Excel.
  • Salesforce/NPSP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
