The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsofts Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape the future of our cloud infrastructure accounting systems and processes, and continue to build the Atlanta MSIO team.The teams charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As a key member of the team, youll be responsible for designing and executing accounting system and process solutions for a new initiative that focuses on maintaining the resiliency of the datacenter server fleet. The role will be involved with a multi-billion dollar asset portfolio influencing the design of systems & processes, providing key insight to business partners, and executing monthly financial close processes. The role will collaborate with Microsoft partners globally , including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Trade, Sourcing and Business Operations to optimize systems, processes and accounting for Cloud Infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute scalable accounting & reporting solutions to enable stakeholders with optimal and compliant systems and processes, and key analysis and insights.Perform spares and maintenance accounting and asset management to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingPartner with finance to drive insight and clarity on accounting and asset management guidance to help inform business decisions and financial planning (forecast, targets, long range planning).Participate with a high performing team to add to thought leadership for Business Enablement.Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, SOX and MS Policy; enable controls to safeguard assets and accurate financial reporting.Collaborate with global stakeholders to meet regulatory, statutory, audit and compliance requirements.Build and manage close partnerships with teams across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Business.Embrace inclusion and a growth mindset and enable culture and norms that support consistent quality partner experiences.QualificationsRequired/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications6+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience.Bachelors degree in related field, MBA/CPA preferred.Previous accounting experience in Cost Accounting, Cloud, supply chain, fixed assets and/or multi-national companies preferred.Strong analytical, collaboration, and time management skills.Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of management.Strong understanding of GAAP, Internal Controls, and SOX.Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience.Must be extremely collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships.Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have excellent attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
