Associate- Syndication Portfolio Management

The Syndication Portfolio Management ("SPM") team oversees Capital One's responsibilities as Administrative Agent ("Agent") to lenders on syndicated credit facilities as well as on transactions where Capital One is a participant in a syndicated facility. SPM provides support related to the delivery of transaction-related information to participants and more generally helps ensure our responsibilities as lender and/or Agent are fulfilled. The team ensures our obligations are met by working closely with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to Syndications front office, Underwriting and Credit, Relationship Managers, and Loan Operations to deliver on external counterparty needs and stay compliant within the terms of individual credit agreements.

Surveillance Responsibilities:
• Manage, in consultation with other deal team members, all post-closing surveillance and communications with bank group participant members

• Perform completeness check to ensure all executed documents are collected and/or delivered by all parties involved.

• Reconcile syndicate member distribution lists on the secure websites (e.g. SyndTrak) with ACBS

• Respond to participant inquiries promptly. Consult appropriate deal team members with appropriate sensitivity and sense of urgency accordingly to specific scenarios and/or clients

• Establish on-going communication with deal teams and bank groups regarding any changes or issues to the Loan Agreement or deal structure

• Interact with appropriate deal team members to effectuate post-closing assignments, modifications and pay-offs

Additional Responsibilities :
• Track receipt of administrative details forms from participant banks

• Update the SPM loan documentation database upon the closing of all agented transactions

• Work with Construction Loan Administration to ensure that construction draw packages are delivered to participants in a timely manner.

• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on conveying confidence and an ability to be concise

• Effectively leverages network across multiple teams

• Pulls resources together to perform responsibilities timely and proactively

• Handles ambiguity well; consults group management when necessary

• Partners with internal stakeholders to drive ongoing improvement efforts

• Self-starter with ability to work well independently as well as with a team

Work at Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by using cellular data (hot spot)
    • Cable or fiber connections are preferred
    • Internet service download speeds must be at least 5 mbps, with 10+ mbps preferred - check your download speed using a speed test. A sample one can be found here . To test your home internet from your personal computer at home, type www.speedtest.net into the web browser of your personal computer.
    • Sustained ability to maintain latency less than 250 ms in voice calls is required
  • Hard wired connectivity is preferred, any use of wireless connectivity must be Private (non-public) and password protected through WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. If you have any questions about your encryption, please consult with your internet provider
    • A private network is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network
  • Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate
  • Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice.


Candidates must live within 100 miles driving distance of one of the hub locations based in - Melville, NY

Basic Qualifications :
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Certification
• At least one year of banking operations or financial services experience

Preferred Qualifications :
• Bachelor's Degree

• One year of syndicated loan experience in a documentation review, loan operations or middle-office support function
