As a Principal Associate Quality Assurance Specialist at Capital One, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for partnering with Lines of Business across the Capital One footprint to ensure compliance with the Travel Rule. The qualified candidate will be responsible for sampling wire transactions across multiple initiation channels and reviewing for completeness in alignment with Travel Rule requirements. They will work with each business to explore any variance identified and will share outcomes of transaction sampling by providing effective/measurable feedback to each business. Additionally, they will drive the resolution of issues and process improvements with the business.

  • Engage with business partners to learn their various processes and best practices
  • Derive statistically significant sample based reviews and other quality assurance testing measurements that provide information critical to assessing process execution.
  • Stewardship over process review and research activities.
  • Own resolution on questions and requests from management and key stakeholders.
  • Comfort with analyzing data and data management tools (excel, google sheets etc.)
  • Support and own the resolution of process improvements and/or operating procedures.
  • Drive the calibration of performance standards with peers and dedicated line of business
  • Ensure remediation efforts against QA discovery and output
  • Drive appropriate procedure / policy change as applicable
  • Present and distribute regular updates and reports to Sr. Leadership as needed
  • Additional projects as assigned

Work at Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by using cellular data (hot spot)
    • Cable or fiber connections are preferred
    • Internet service download speeds must be at least 5 mbps, with 10+ mbps preferred - check your download speed using a speed test. A sample one can be found here . To test your home internet from your personal computer at home, type into the web browser of your personal computer.
    • Sustained ability to maintain latency less than 250 ms in voice calls is required
  • Hard wired connectivity is preferred, any use of wireless connectivity must be Private (non-public) and password protected through WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. If you have any questions about your encryption, please consult with your internet provider
    • A private network is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network
  • Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate
  • Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice.

Candidates must live within a 100 miles driving distance of one of the hub locations based in Richmond VA, Mclean VA, or Melville NY.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in Client Servicing or Quality Assurance
  • At least 3 years experience in Risk Management, Compliance or Audit

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong Data Management competencies
  • Ability to consistently identify anomalies across a large number of reviews
  • Experience with wire processing
  • High intellectual curiosity to learn new functions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Travel Rule regulation
  • Experience with MS Excel
  • ACAMS Certification
  • BPM, Lean Six Sigma Certification
