MITRE is seeking specialized economics, illicit finance/sanctions, banking and financial regulatory, and digital asset and currency capabilities to support a diverse portfolio of customers and sponsor within the Treasury, Economics, and Commerce Division.Job Responsibilities:These positions will enable:+ A more secure and predominant US Currency+ US global economic and financial equities and security to be improved and strengthened+ Proper risk mitigation of financial products and services+ Responsible development of digital assets and currencyThese positions will work with or lead a multidisciplinary team to provide technical expertise with senior level government officials on the critical challenges and solutions influencing:+ operations and growth of the US economy+ promotion of a stable US and global financial system+ US economic and financial national security interests+ trust and inclusivity in US financial services+ effectiveness in the US financial regulatory regime and+ trust and confidence in currency and financial servicesMinimum Qualifications:+ Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.+ Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.Required Qualifications:+ At least 8-10 years of experience in applied economics and analytic bases influencing decision-making and/or Benefit Cost Analysis in topics areas of international and/or domestic economics, trade, finance, investment, illicit finance/sanctions, and financial regulation.+ At least 8-10 years of experience in understanding of financial and banking regulation and its implications on both domestic and international monetary policy.+ At least 8-10 years of experience and knowledge in understanding of financial payment systems, digital assets and currencies, and financial technology+ Ability to communicate and synthesize complex requirements that enable and inform policy, organizational and decision making+ Experience in performing independent assessments to inform strategic decision making+ Ability to manage and lead tasks to meet expected customer and achieve sponsor outcomesPreferred Qualifications:+ Master's degree preferred with at least 8-10 years of related experience or PhD/PhD candidates with 5 years' experience, or equivalent combination of related education, such as Financial and Banking, Monetary Economics, Illicit Finance/Financial Intelligence, or Applied Economics.+ Demonstrated experience or education in areas such as Climate, Sanctions, or Financial Equity This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Subject to all federal and state laws, rules and regulations, MITRE requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
