Overview Remote options available UVA Community Health is seeking a Director of Total Rewards, a newly created role to support our expanding system. The Dir Total Rewards manages the day-to-day compensation and benefits-related activities. The Dir Total Rewards works closely with other HR staff and the organization leaders to review and update existing benefits and compensation policies and ensure the organization complies with existing legislation. She/he develops and implements the reward strategy, including salary benchmarking, benefits management, and annual compensation events such as bonus and salary review. The Dir Total Rewards will stay abreast of trends in healthcare markets, network with other compensation and benefits professionals, and provide thought leadership regarding progressive practices to attract and retain the right talent. The Dir Total Rewards regularly evaluates competitor compensation and benefits packages, contributes to the design of compensation and benefits philosophy and programs, and manages third-party HR compensation and benefits vendor resources such as brokers and consultants. The director also develops and delivers programs to educate the managers, executives, leaders, and team members on programs and processes throughout the year and reinforces company culture in compensation and benefits programs. The position will report to the CHRO and works closely with the Manager Compensation & HRIS, the overall HR team, and across the organization. The director will have supervisory duties. Qualifications Education : 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Human Resources, Psychology, or relevant degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. Masters' Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or relevant degree + 6 years working in human resources. Experience : Eight (8) years working in human resources, and 2 years of compensation experience, preferred. Two (2) years administrator experience with cloud based HRIS system, preferred. Four (4) years of experience managing in Compensation and Benefits, required. Four (4) years of experience in implementing an HRIS required, including the configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting of various HRIS applications that include payroll, recruiting and benefits, required. Licensure/Certification : CCP, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR certification, preferred. Additional Skills (required) : Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data. Excellent customer service skills including understanding users' needs, offering solutions, and following up to ensure end user success. Initiative and drive to continuously improve processes and systems. Solid project management skills including attention to detail, highly organized. Strong problem-solving skills Proven ability to work effectively in teams and with individuals at all levels within an organization. Experience managing several tasks and priorities and exercise independent working; a self-starter. Extensive knowledge of HR systems, process, procedures, and policies. Strong facilitation and communication skills. This position has remote working options with a need to be onsite during certain times.
