Facilities Reliability Engineer Description: This position is within the Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) Facilities Engineering & Maintenance Organization. The selected candidate will drive improvements in facility infrastructure reliability across two major sites in Virginia and Florida as well as branch locations nationwide. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Creating, implementing, monitoring, and improving Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs. * Provide support to the operation and maintenance of plant equipment. * Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment. * Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability. * Identify, analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar industry accepted and novel techniques. * Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF of major equipment. * Facilitating continuous improvement around equipment availability and reliability. * Provide ongoing reports as needed on the CBM program status. * Provide technical support, training, and development for maintenance functions with specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group. * Champion smart building technologies and industrial internet of things initiatives * Analyze alarms and anomalies generated by facilities smart building technologies and building automation systems to develop corrective action plans for both the building software and the physical equipment * Coordinate with site maintenance teams to diagnose and repair infrastructure malfunctions utilizing predictive maintenance technologies * Work with various computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) platforms to analyze facility maintenance metrics/key performance indicators to determine improvement opportunities * Train maintenance organizations on prioritizing and optimizing preventive maintenance tasks and schedules and assist sites in developing roadmaps for departmental improvement * Develop infrastructure condition and risk assessment techniques to reduce risk and cost of failure and impact to critical operations Basic Qualifications: * Background in maintenance of high-value, critical infrastructure, and equipment * Experience in practical application of FMEA, NDT inspection techniques preferred. * Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starters, VFD's preferred. * Working experience in a predictive/condition-based maintenance environment with techniques such as data trend analysis, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, acoustic and ultrasound monitoring, etc. * Deep knowledge of operation and interaction of various building systems and assets to include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems * Extensive knowledge of CMMS administration * knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) infrastructure and machine platforms * Experience in change management and process improvement with the ability to drive results using Lean/Six Sigma principles * Ability to analyze maintenance report data to identify, develop and drive action plans for performance improvement * Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distinguish target audiences, such as the shop floor or executives, to present study results and action plans * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint) and Tableau Desired Skills: * Working experience in a high-criticality maintenance environment * Engineering bachelor's degree or extensive engineering/maintenance related experience * Project management experience * Predictive maintenance certifications * Lean/Six Sigma green belt or black belt Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
