Pay starts at $18.40/hr (3rd Shift) and all employees may qualify for an increase when hired permanently.Job Requirements:Job Description: Manufacturing TechnicianThe Manufacturing Technician is accountable for following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMP) to safely and efficiently manufacture gas-permeable contact lens products, which are Class III medical devices.The manufacturing technician will maintain and improve skills and proficiency in all areas of manufacturing including:BlockingLathingSurface and optical inspectionPolishing and final inspectionEnsuring accuracy of contact lens prescription using production equipment including CNC lathe, radius gauge, stereo microscope and lensometerAccurate completion of paperwork to ensure product acceptance and traceabilityMaintaining clean, safe, & efficient manufacturing environmentWorking collaboratively with production team under general supervisionMaintain and improve skills in all operations through trainingMinimum Qualifications: Manufacturing TechnicianHigh-school diploma or equivalent experienceMust be able to work standing on your feet for 8 hours a dayAbility to check for defects and identify and distinguish between colorsAbility to read and carefully follow instructions and standard operating proceduresExcellent attention to detail and good organizationCapable of working independently to a production schedule1-2 years- prior manufacturing experience preferredMedical device manufacturing strongly preferred
