Engagement Manager

We are seeking an Engagement Manager who is passionate about technology and eager to join a dynamic and growing team. The Partner Success team leverages a robust developer platform to drive value for Capital One partners and end users around the globe. We are a high-energy, fast-paced and entrepreneurial team, and you will have an opportunity to shape our team's future.

The Engagement Manager will lead the strategic partner's integrations with our API by providing white glove services throughout the partner lifecycle and cultivating external relationships while working directly with internal Capital One teams to develop, promote and improve the product offerings.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage complex, high value IT consulting projects that require the coordination of development work on multiple platforms and across multiple teams to achieve the desired outcome.
    • End to end project management.
    • Accountable for delivery.
  • Build and maintain excellent internal and external client relationships.
  • Clearly and crisply communicate the complexities of technical integrations to both executive stakeholders and technical counterparts
  • Manage risk and ensure regulation compliance of projects.
  • Ensure both the client and internal expectations are met.
  • Own the Partner Success delivery methodology
  • Managing the Partner Experience: ensuring a positive and productive partnership, and owning the methodology of measuring success
  • Establish metrics to analyze and track performance in Salesforce or other CRM tools.

Qualified candidates for this role will have:
  • Work experience in client-facing professional services or consulting roles for related web technologies.
  • Extremely organized with strong multitasking, task coordination, and time management skills to drive and deliver results.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Able to handle ambiguity and be able to dive deep without losing sight of the project's direction and commitment.
  • Able to perform with minimal direction and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools for managing opportunities and leads.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools such as GSuite, Confluence, JIRA.
  • Proven ability to lead complex IT projects in cross-functional teams in different locations.
  • Able to identify and negotiate solutions to address project challenges.
  • Experience interacting with senior leaders as well as engineers.
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communications.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or military experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in project management or program management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience in web services and related standards such as REST, OAuth and JSON.
  • Experience working with standard web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and mobile development is preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial and payments industries, and emerging technology trends.
  • Exposure to Agile methodology.
