Job Announcement

Seeking highly organized and tech savvy individual who enjoys collaboration on a fast-paced, people-focused team. Reporting directly to the DFS Director of Communications, under minimal supervision, administers the DFS website for the entire agency, posting a high volume of content, as well as managing three DFS Facebook pages, strategically scheduling posts. Uses analytics to advise the DFS Communications Team on best strategies, and contributes to communications planning. Continually trains and stays up-to-date on Drupal and Facebook, as well as other social media and web platforms as needed. Expertise in Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite programs preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public administration, political science, or field related to a department's business, plus five years of progressively responsible experience in communication area of specialization or area of specialization of department represented.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and a Child Protective Services check.

All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process.
