JOB PURPOSE:DRB Group is looking for a Real Estate Paralegal to join its in-house legal team! The Real Estate Paralegal will primarily assist a growing team of five (5) in-house attorneys by performing the below stated duties and responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities:Providing general assistance in real estate transactions.Reviewing surveys, title commitments and exception documents.Proof reading legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.Performing legal due diligence.Preparing documents relating to a variety of real estate matters based on consultation with, and review by, in-house attorneys, including contracts, leases, security instruments, escrow/closing instructions, and closing documents.Analyzing and summarizing documents and legal authorities for review by in-house real estate attorneys.Working closely with in-house attorneys in connection with general corporate and other matters, and supporting a broad range of corporate transactions and projects.Multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product within stated deadlines.General administrative functions.Other duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge and SkillsStrong working knowledge of MS Office productsStrong computer capabilitiesAbility to read, analyze, and interpret: statutes, contracts, and other legal documentsGeneral working knowledge of office equipmentAbility to solve practical problemsExcellent oral and written skillsStrong teamplay; able to work with diverse groups of peopleCommitment to company values and customer serviceAbility and willingness to work effectively with coworkers, senior management, and outside legal counselEducation and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree and at minimum 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior experience and understanding of real estate law desirablePrior litigation experience desirable
