The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting with the activities of the overall general accounting function. Oversees, implements and maintains accounting systems, procedures and policies. This position ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data and acts as liaison between the company, customers and suppliers in providing the required information and ensuring that proper information is maintained.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:* Extensive data entry of invoices, vendor bills, credit card receipts, and cash receipts and otherday to day transactions* Overseeing basic Accounting procedures (A/R, A/P and G/L)* Assisting financial statement preparation and month end and quarterly closing* Filing and organizing documents in the office* Perform other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)* Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field preferred* Exceptional organization and time management skills* Work independently* Multitask efficiently* High attention to details, ability to take directions, self-check and follow up on work* Able to enter accurate financial /numerical data* Analytical and critical problem-solving skills* Basic knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, Netsuite or other accounting software* Basic to intermediate computer and typing skills* Ability to apply discretion, trust with confidential company information We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
