The Compressed Gas Association, Inc. (CGA) is seeking an experienced marketing and communications specialist to join our team. We are looking for a dynamic professional who can collaborate with content teams and partners to ensure an integrated marketing strategy that works smoothly on all levels. This fast-paced position enjoys a high level of autonomy and creative control, including the development and implementation of a strategic vision that aligns with CGA's operational objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Creates and implements strategic communication plans in the areas of public awareness; national, local, and trade media relations; external stakeholder relations; and social media to position CGA as a leading technical authority on industry safety issues and enhance the visibility, perception, and reputation of the Association and the industry. Writes, edits, and manages content for outgoing communications including newsletters, blog posts, videos, news stories, membership recruiting materials, sponsorship brochures, e-mail campaigns, articles for external media sources, presentations, and other collateral as required. Develops and coordinates the promotion of CGA programs, products, services, and events to members, target markets, and key stakeholders through clear and consistent communications and marketing to support strategic goals. Generates sponsor support for CGA events including the development of sponsor programs for various events, identification and follow up on sponsor leads, execution of sponsor agreements, and implementation of sponsor service requirements. Creates marketing and communication materials for CGA events including registration promotions, event web pages, event guides, electronic communications, banners and signage, and other materials as needed. Formulates and executes a comprehensive marketing and branding plan to retain members and ensure continued growth of the Association by engaging prospective members and new markets. Identifies and employs new communication tactics, marketing products, engagement tools, and distribution channels to improve delivery and recognition. Continually updates content on CGA's public website, www.cganet.com. Defines, monitors, and reports on key performance indicators to measure the success of marketing and communications initiatives, member and customer satisfaction, and more. Establishes and adheres to budgets, timelines, and work plans to ensure marketing efforts support internal objectives, stay on track, and meet or exceed revenue targets. Requirements 5+ years of proven success in marketing communications, including the development and implementation of multi-year tactical campaigns for marketing, brand management, and strategic communication. Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress website maintenance, and email marketing tools is required. Previous experience with SEO optimization, CRM management, Google AdWords campaign management, LinkedIn company page and ad management, and basic graphic design are a plus. Background in nonprofit membership organizations and/or associations is preferred. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field is preferred. Periodic travel up to 15% is required.
