We are looking for a Compensation Analyst who will be responsible for handling the day-to-day compensation needs across Appian, including the administration of various base pay and incentive plans and monitoring internal/external market competitiveness and compliance. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Total Rewards, this role will play an integral part in the implementation and maintenance of Appian's job architecture and compensation structures.

To be successful in this role, you need:
  • Strong knowledge of compensation concepts and practices, including benchmarking and job pricing
  • In depth understanding of regulatory environments, including legal statutes and FLSA determinations, and the ability to maintain compliance of Appian's compensation programs
  • Ability to act as a strategic partner to HRBPs, business leaders, and Talent Acquisition
  • To assist in the implementation and maintenance of Appian's job architecture and compensation structures
  • To review and evaluate job descriptions and salary offers, and assist in the administration of annual bonus calculation, compensation review and increase cycles
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high growth environment
  • Experience c oordinating data submission for compensation surveys; Radford global salary surveys preferred
  • Experience conducting ad-hoc analyses to evaluate compensation programs and recommend creative and appropriate actions
  • A strong sense of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information and confidential data
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize key findings
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and skills
  • Previous experience with Workday, highly preferred

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 2-4 years of experience in Compensation or related field, preferably with a global organization
