Full Time

  • Provide trade and craft support as the on-site individual at DCMA buildings on Fort Lee, Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) and Chester Virginia locations.
  • Perform a variety of minor preventative Maintenance and repairs to buildings and structures.
  • Perform carpentry work involving measuring, cutting, constructing, installing, repairing and modifying wood, composite, wood substitute and drywall items.
  • Possess an understanding of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) operations.
  • Perform plumbing work involving replacing seals, gaskets or valves, repairing leaks, installing water supply lines and unclogging sinks or commodes.
  • Have basic computer and smart phone experience
  • Have the ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs and do a great deal of walking.

  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.

  • Physical requirements: (A) Ability to climb ladders, walk on roofs and do a great deal of walking. (B) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.
