To learn more: Position Summary: Sony Corporation of America is seeking a motivated Engineer, Security Architecture to join the Global Information Security Department. We're currently looking for smart, enthusiastic people who want to help us continue to secure Sony's ecosystem. This position will be a part of the team responsible for establishing a composable enterprise security architecture, key security controls and models, while being subject matter experts for various security areas to ensure our security practices and controls constantly improve. The Security Architect will have a good balance of business and technical knowledge and will be comfortable across many disciplines of Information Technology and demonstrate a strong passion for Information Security. Responsibilities: Support projects within Global Security Incident Response Team and Sony Group Companies to find creative, composable security solutions that balance business requirements with cyber security needs Research, evaluate and optimize security solutions to improve Sony's overall cloud security posture and meet the needs of the Security Operations Center (SOC) Perform architecture and implementation security reviews of Technology projects and articulate security risks and provide actionable recommendations Support refinement of cloud security tools, controls, and implementation guidelines Liaise technical insight and impacts of security technical standards, capabilities/tools, architecture with Sony Group Companies Research, model and track secure system standards, industry trends, market technology, threat group threats, tactics and procedures for ecosystem applicability and reference Demonstrate the maturity of the global cyber security technology stack (metrics, health checks, tech debt, effectiveness etc.) through a continuous improvement lifecycle Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred 2+ years' experience in technology or information security related fields 1+ years' experience working with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Passion for cyber security technologies Demonstrated knowledge of web protocols and an in-depth knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Unix tools and architecture Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate to both technical and non-technical audiences Sony is a diverse federated company, so your ability to travel internationally as needed is important Experience with Hashicorp technologies such as Terraform, Vault, Vagrant is a bonus Technical certifications or other demonstrations of passion in security and technology (eg, CISSP Associate, Cloud Provider Certifications, open-source projects, or equivalent) is a bonus Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
