JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Vice President of Product Delivery Management to lead the Delivery of our worldwide platform solutions on AWS, Azure and Ali cloud. The VP will provide program management, process re-engineering and delivery support across a multi-disciplinary team with a key focus on program planning, execution, roadmap building, and process definition across impacted groups such as application engineering, infrastructure, DevSecOps and external stakeholders. The role builds strong partnerships with Application Engineering teams to provide strategic product delivery, streamlined processes and solutions and delivers products related to DevSecOps including CICD pipeline, container strategy, automated pattern based deployments and self-service products. This is a critical role for the company as we transform the core platforms that support the digital applications on modern PaaS and SaaS based cloud infrastructure using nextGen processes and delivery practices. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, hands-on leader with the energy and experience to lead through change. This leader is passionate about collaboration, communication clarity, building purposeful process, execution excellence, and an advocate for continuous improvement. This leader must possess the patience and skills to garner feedback from multiple application engineering teams and continuously ensuring delivery of cloud based products to the those teams. This leader will need a strong ability to build solid long term symbiotic relationships that transverse teams; while having a knack to push back and make arguments to improve ideas. This leader must be strategic with an ability to implement that strategy; communicate it to executive leadership of the company; deliver results using Scaled Agile Framework; and create processes that enable flow without the overhead of gates or checks that breaks the moment of teams. Must have the polish and executive presence to present to C-level executives. This executive will also be responsible for process development across the organization for managing demand. CANDIDATE PROFILE Qualifications: 12 years of experience in technology organizations with experience in all or some of the following: Leading Agile delivery through engineering teams (both local and virtual), Demand management responsible for prioritizing and building a continuously integrated backlog Process engineering and deployment 5 years of people leadership experience in a matrixed environment with experience in recruiting, mentoring, and developing high performing teams 5 years of direct department or project budget management experience exceeding $10M 2 years recent experience with major cloud hosting service providers such as AWS and Azure Ability to work variable hours to flex and re-prioritze work activites Highly Desired Skills and Attributes: Hands-on experience in implementing SAFe Lean/Agile methodologies Certifications such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, SAFe certified program consultant (SPC) Works extremely well under pressure and is able to remain focused and professional during high stress situations Exceptional project management, organizational and leadership skills Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices and the ability to transfer that understanding into practical and relevant behaviors, culture, practices, at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to carry tasks and projects to completion Excellent executive presence, including the ability to succinctly communicate vision, strategy and progress. Courageous communicator, story teller, able to tailor the message to the right level up and down the organizational chart Experience leading global teams Experience in executing SAFe in a virtual environment Facilitation experience at all levels of the organization with both large and small audiences CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Process Engineering and Organization Activation: Builds an integrated backlog across Infrastructure team in partnership with App Engineering and Product team priorities Builds the rolling quarterly Program Increment roadmap that will be used to drive priorities, identify dependencies and ensure appropriate engagement with clients and participants Establishes a demand management process providing continuity of resources without roll off / on disruptions in a fully charged-back model Defines end-to-end processes across application teams and finance for transparent and predefined chargebacks Develops the service catalog for all infrastructure services Establishes a reliable and adoptable budget forecasting process in a highly demand driven organization Dives deep to understand variations and implement the "right" solutions Contributes thought leadership using a deep understanding of Kaizen, lean or Six Sigma process for a measurable reduction of inefficiencies, handoffs and dependencies Leads continuous improvement approaches to discover, prioritize and execute on opportunities Program and Product Delivery Management: Ensures realization of the platform roadmap through excellence in execution Oversees timely delivery of initiatives across multiple teams keeping them on time and within budget Influences the delivery of software solutions from concept to release Translates strategy into actionable plan with defined ownership and roles/responsibilities Implements and matures the SAFe processes to increase team's velocity (Scrum and Kanban) Establishes KPIs and other success measurements to define success for organizational effectiveness and productivity Creates a governance structure for managing complex activities across technology teams and builds appropriate communications to market new capabilities. Responsible for smooth operations of multiple Agile Release Trains Manages and partners with strategic technology service providers to maintain an optimal balance of external resource flexibility and skills, and in-house functional expertise Provides mechanisms to capture and monitor remediation of any potential risks. In addition, enables appropriate escalation of any item that may impact timely delivery or cause a change to the agreed scope of project Applies systems thinking - understand and leverage a broad perspective that includes seeing overall structures, patterns and cycles in our system, rather than seeing only specific silos.
